Junior parliament vows to fight drugs

The country's juniors parliament has vowed to assist in the fight against drugs and alcohol abuse.
Speaking at the official opening session of the 33rd session Junior Parliament, Child President Lionel Mazarire upheld the role government is implementing on the fight against the scourge.
"We are survivors of drug addicts. We as the Junior Parliamentarian we will push the steps that are being taken by His Excellence President Emmerson Mnangagwa," said Child President Mazarire.
The 33 rd session official opening is being presided by President Mnangagwa new Parliament building Mount Hampden.
The Junior Parliament was established in 1991 to provide them a platform to take part in policy processes.
The session will see the ascension of the former parliamentarians to Junior Senate to sustain continuity.
The session is made up of children aged between 12 and 18, representing their colleagues in all the country's 19 provinces.
