Task of Admin Officers in PAF👮🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♂️ Normally, an admin offr would be posted to the Air Base. An admin offr looks after discipline, security, vigilance, works (infrastructure), maintenance, support services (land, estate, electricity, water), non-technical ground training, physical training, Regimental Shops, dress, deportment, ceremonials, traffic, liaison, office set-up, records, human resources, correspondence…..!! Specialist admin offrs perform Air Traffic Control and Fighter Controller tasks. ✈️Air Traffic Controller: Air Traffic Controller officer's core responsibilities will involve maintaining an orderly flow of traffic, airspace management and to provide control and advisory services in order to enable the pilots of military and civil aircrafts to conduct their flights with total safety in all weather conditions. ✈️Fighter Controller: Fighter Controller will be posted to an Air Defence radar unit and will be responsible for close contact and supervision between the air and radar for effective airspace management. As an important part of front line organization of air defence systems, the Administrative Branch Officer may be required to operate as a Fighter Controller to counter enemy threats from the air by using modem electronic counter-offensive equipment. An admin offr’s career works its way through posts in the field staff at air bases. Through professional courses, and specialisation, an offr will rise to appointments at fmn HQ (Air Commands). Unfortunately, command of units is rather restricted to Provost Units and the rare unit/base.
