*Be Watchful of Evil-doers* _By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare_ _Day 144 (24/05/2025)_ > _Philippians 3:2 (NLT) "Watch out for those dogs, those wicked men and their evil deeds, those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved."_ We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and as a result, God does not want us to involve ourselves with evil. The opening scripture says we should be watchful of evil-doers. In other words, we should be mindful of evil-doers around us, especially those who seek to pervert the way of righteousness and to influence others to follow them. God wants us to grow in Him in all things, but as long as we allow evil-doers to have their way, they will lead many astray. Here are three reasons why we must be watchful of evil-doers: 1. *They will accuse you of wrongdoing.* _1 Peter 2:12 (NLT) "Be careful how you live among your unbelieving neighbors. Even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will believe and give honor to God when he comes to judge the world."_ The evil person will always accuse you of wrongdoing because you do not walk with them in their evil ways. Just as Psalms 1:1 says, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." 2. *They will hinder your obedience to God's commands.* _Psalms 119:115 (NLT) "Get out of my life, you evil-minded people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God."_ The Psalmist clearly says that an evil person is an impediment to obedience to God's commandments. Thus, we ought to be careful of such people. Let no evil person prevent you from or lure you into not obeying God's commands. 3. *The face of the Lord is against evil-doers.* _Psalms 34:16 "The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth."_ God's anger is upon the deeds of the wicked. He turns His face away from them and wipes them off from the surface of the earth when they reject His mercies and increase in their wickedness. Thus, we must not be partakers with them. _Precious one, be watchful of evil-doers because they will accuse you of wrong doing, they will prevent you from obeying the commandments of God and remember that the face of the Lord is against evil-doers._ *Prayer:* _Heavenly Father, let the deeds of evil people around me be exposed and put to shame, in Jesus’ name.
