*Be Constantly Filled with the Holy Spirit* _By Archbishop Charles Agyinasare_ _Day 172 (21/06/2025)_ > _Ephesians 5:18 (AMP) “Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness (corruption, stupidity), but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit and constantly guided by Him.”_ What an advantage we have as Christian believers to have the Spirit of the Almighty God living and residing in us. And yet we seem weak and beggarly and are at the mercy of the world and circumstances. This is because we have not learnt to constantly move in the strength and power of the Holy Spirit. But the only way to do that is to be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit such that our souls are energized and charged with His presence and power. Here are three things that help to get us filled with the Holy Spirit: *1. Speaking to yourself in Psalms.* _Ephesians 5:18-19 “…but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms…”_ Psalms are words of praise concerning the goodness and mercies of God, concerning His mighty works and concerning the blessedness of belonging to God. These words can either be sung or recited. As you recite or speak to yourself in Psalms, the Holy Spirit is stirred up in response to those words to fill you. *2. Singing spiritual songs to the Lord.* _Ephesians 5:18-19 “…but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”_ The Holy Spirit also loves to be praised and worshipped with spiritual songs. Nobody can ever testify that they got filled with the Holy Spirit by ever listening to or singing worldly and unspiritual songs. The Holy Spirit will only respond to fill you when you sing to the Lord from your heart with psalms, hymns or other spiritual songs. *3. Giving thanks always.* _Ephesians 5:18,20 “…but be filled with the Spirit; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”_ The more thanks you give to God, the more Spirit-filled you will be. Learn to give thanks to God several times a day and offer your thanks in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. As you give thanks to God for all things, the Holy Spirit will help you get more victories so that your thanksgiving will never stop. Precious one, it is possible to live victoriously every day with the help and power of the Holy Spirit. He makes all things possible and so, constantly get yourself filled with Him and be blessed. *Prayer:* _Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your mighty Holy Spirit living in me; I will be constantly filled with Him, in Jesus’ name.
