OGDCL Discovers Significant Oil & Gas Reserve in Khairpur, Sindh 🇵🇰 OGDCL has announced a significant oil and gas discovery from its exploratory efforts at the Faakir-1 well, located within the Bitrisim Exploration License area in the #khairpur district of #sindh. The well is operated by #ogdcl with a 95% working interest, in a joint venture with Government Holdings (Private) Limited (GHPL), which holds the 5% stake. Currently, the well is producing 6.4 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD) and 55 barrels per day (BPD) of condensate. The success of the Faakir-1 well underscores the Joint Venture’s commitment to unlocking the full hydrocarbon potential of the block through an aggressive exploration strategy. The discovery is expected to make a meaningful contribution toward bridging the country’s energy demand-supply gap through indigenous resources and will add to the hydrocarbon reserves base of both OGDCL and Pakistan.
