In May 2025, DRF's Digital Security Helpline processed 247 cases, of which 208 (84%) were related to cyber harassment. 50 cases involved financial fraud and 44 cases involved Non-Consensual Use of Images (NCUI), a form of abuse in which a person's images are used non-consensually, frequently to coerce, blackmail or cause reputational damage.
