Rwanda has announced a rare six-day public holiday from July 1 to 6. The break includes Independence Day (July 1) and Liberation Day (July 4), marking 31 years since the end of the 1994 Genocide.
In a historic move, July 2 and 3 have also been declared public holidays — the first time in modern Rwanda.
