SCHOOL OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES ECONOMIC FEE-PAYING INTAKE FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR The University of Malawi is pleased to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Economic Fee-Paying Programmes under the School of Natural and Applied Sciences (SNAS) for the 2025/2026 academic year. 1. MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS Interested applicants should have a Malawi School Certificate of Education or any equivalent O-Level qualification obtained in 2021, 2022, 2023 or 2024 with 6 subjects passed with Credits. PROGRAMME SPECIFICATIONSPROGRAMME NAME 1) Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Science and Technology4 years Applicants must possess at least a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent, with at least six credits including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English. 2) Certificate in Solar Systems Installation and Maintenance1 year Applicants must possess at least either Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or GCSE/IGCSE/GCE with at least six passes including Physics or Physical Science and English. 3. TUITION FEES PER ANNUM The fees structures per academic year are as follows: MALAWIAN >K2,500, 000 NON - MALAWIAN SADC $; 5,500 Non-SADC $8,000 Please note that the fees indicated above are subject to change anytime. 4. Duly completed application forms together with proof of payment of a non-refundable application fee of K25, 000.00 for Malawian candidates and U$35 for international applicants should be sent to the address below and not to any constituent college of the University of Malawi. Applicants should attach a deposit slip as proof of payment of an appropriate application fee. Copies of all relevant certificates/notification of results which have been indicated on the application form. These must be duly certified as true copies of the originals by a recognized Commissioner of Oaths. b. Where applicable, a copy of registration certificate with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi or an equivalent regulatory body and a current registration receipt. c. Original proof of availability of funds for training i.e. official sponsorship letter or bank statements of the applicant. d.
