Central Poultry (2000) Limited is looking for qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals to join our growing team in the following key roles in Lilongwe: 1.0 Soya Processing Manager Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the entire soya processing operation, from raw material intake to finished product packaging. • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met. • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize output. • Manage a team of processing staff, providing leadership, supervision, and capacity building. • Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations. • Prepare reports on production performance, inventory levels, and any deviations or incidents. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field. • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in food or feed processing, preferably in soya or grain-related operations. • Strong knowledge of processing machinery, safety regulations, and quality management systems. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in basic computer applications and production reporting tools. 2.0 Production Manager Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily production activities ensuring targets are met efficiently and safely. • Lead production teams and implement continuous improvement strategies. • Monitor equipment and workflow for optimal productivity. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred). • Minimum 10 years of experience in production management within manufacturing or FMCG industries. • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. 3.0 Laboratory Supervisor Key Responsibilities: • Supervise lab activities related to poultry health, feed, and product quality testing. • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory results. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in food or agricultural sectors. • Proficient in laboratory equipment handling, quality assurance, and safety practices. • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and supervisory skills. 4.0 Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities: • Lead the maintenance department to ensure optimal operation of all plant equipment. • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs. • Manage technical teams and oversee repair, installation, and inspection tasks. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical). • At least 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food processing or manufacturing environments. • Proven track record in maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and team leadership. 5.0 Quality Assurance Manager Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems and food safety protocols. • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO). • Lead audits and drive quality improvement initiatives across the production process. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field. • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within manufacturing or FMCG. • Strong knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and team leadership. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. 6.0 Learning and Development Manager Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement effective learning and development strategies aligned with business goals. • Conduct training needs assessments and develop annual training plans. • Manage internal and external training programs and evaluate their impact. • Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage). • Minimum 8 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a senior role. • Proven expertise in instructional design, training delivery, and performance evaluation. • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 7.0 HR Manager – Recruitment Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate the recruitment process from requisition to onboarding. • Work with departmental heads to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions. • Screen applications, schedule interviews, and facilitate offer processes. • Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field. • At least 7 years of experience in recruitment and HR operations. • Knowledge of labor laws and recruitment best practices. • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. 8.0 General Workers / Abattoir Attendants Key Responsibilities: • Assist in poultry processing, including handling, slaughtering, cleaning, and packaging. • Follow all hygiene, safety, and operational procedures as per company standards. Qualifications & Requirements: • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent. • Previous experience in poultry or meat processing is an added advantage. • Willingness to work in physically demanding and fast-paced environments. • Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to hygiene and safety protocols. 9.0 Forklift Operators Key Responsibilities: • Safely operate forklifts to move products and materials within the warehouse or production areas. • Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition. • Assist with stacking, racking, and organizing goods to optimize storage space and accessibility. • Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Work closely with warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure timely and accurate handling of goods. Qualifications & Requirements: • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent. • Valid forklift operating license or certification is required. • At least 3 years of experience operating forklifts in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse setting. • Strong attention to safety, coordination skills, and ability to work under pressure. • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and in physically demanding environments.
