1. Polite requests/offers:
👉 Would you like some tea?
2. Imagined or hypothetical situations:
👉 If I were you, I would wait.
3. Future in the past:
👉 She said she would call.
4. Repeated actions in the past:
👉 Every summer, we would go to the beach.
5. Wishes or preferences:
👉 I would rather stay home.
👉 I wish it would stop raining.
