Mash East National AIDS Council Provincial Manager Dr Wilfred Dube speaks on the sista2sista mentorship program which empowers adolescent girls and young women with sexual reproductive education and life skills. It complements the "Not In My Village campaign" which has also drawn support from traditional leaders who speak against teen pregnancies, early child marriages, drug and substance abuse. The HIV prevalence rate in the province currently stands at 9.86% from 12.6% in 2020.
