Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed a province-wide cr@ckdown on the public display of we@pons and the use of Toyota Hilux pickup trucks. The newly established Cri_me Control Department (CCD) will carry out str_ict enforc_ement. According to Additional IG Sohail Zafar Chatha, such displays of power are not acceptable and will be dealt with firmly. CCD will monitor viol@tors using over 21,000 Safe City cameras and advanced Al systems to detect we@pons. The Hilux, often seen as a status symbol, has increasingly been misus_ed to as_sert power and ev@de law enf_orcement. Authorities aim to end this culture of fe@r and restore public safety.
