✨ *WEEKEND SPECIAL*✨
*WHO IS THE PROMISED MESSIAH(AS)?*
(A Testimony to the Claim of Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) from the Holy Qur’an and Hadith)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
While we were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) Surat Al-Jumu'a was revealed to him, and when the Verse,
و اٰخرين منهم لما يلحقوا بهم
_"And He (Allah) has sent him (Muhammad) also to other (Muslims).....'(62:4)_ was recited by the Prophet, I said, "Who are they, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" The Prophet (ﷺ) did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. At that time, Salman *Al-Farisi* was with us. So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) put his hand on Salman, saying, *"If Faith were at (the place of) Ath-Thuraiya (pleiades, the highest star), even then (some men or man from these people (i.e. Salman's folk) would attain it."*
Sahih al-Bukhari, 4897
In-Book Reference: Book 65, Hadith 417
USC-MSA web (English) reference: Vol. 6, Book 60, Hadith 420 (deprecated numbering scheme)
The Hadith indicates that in the latter days, when faith will become distant or almost lost, a man from *Persian descent* will revive Islam. Additionally, the verse *(Suratul Jumu'ah, Verse 4)* mentioned in the Hadith also makes it clear that he would be a second manifestation of the Holy Prophet(saw) in the sense that he would be the most ardent follower and a complete spiritual servant of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(saw).
The Ahmadiyya Community believes that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, who claimed to be the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, fulfills this prophecy:
🔹He was of Persian descent (his family traced lineage back to Persian origins).
🔹He appeared in a time of spiritual decline and worked to revive the true spirit of Islam.
🔹His every word and action bear testimony to the fact that he was a complete spiritual servant and an ardent follower of his Holy Master, Muhammad (sa).
This poetic verse of his is a perfect manifestation of this:
*'After God, I am inebriated with the love of Muhammad (sa);*
*If this is infidelity, then by God, I am a great infidel.'*
🔹He claimed to be sent by God to revive faith, just as described in the Hadith.
