We’re Hiring: Agricultural Entomologist / Agronomist (Remote | Project-Based) Organization: SmartU Krishi Khata | Location: Nagpur (Remote Work) SmartU Krishi Khata is looking for an experienced Agricultural Entomologist to support our agricultural image annotation project aimed at building a scientifically robust pest identification and crop advisory system. About the Role: You will be responsible for analyzing and annotating crop images to help develop AI-powered diagnostic tools. Your expertise will ensure accurate identification of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies from real-world farm images. Key Responsibilities: · Scientifically annotate crop images to identify: Ø Insect pests (type, stage, severity, affected plant parts) Ø Diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and weed presence · Use annotation tools to draw bounding boxes or polygons on affected areas · Accurately label crop types, symptoms, and severity levels · Perform internal quality checks to ensure consistency and accuracy · Collaborate with the agronomy and QA teams for continuous improvement Required Qualifications: · M.Sc.
