In my opinion, for managers, it's about building trust. They all make occasional mistakes and miscalculations like every human being.
But it's about how much you trust your manager to sort it and get it right. Expecting a manager to always get it right is just a pipe dream. It's impossible.
Most of Maresca's criticisms are coming from a lack of trust more than anything. It's understandable if there are fans who don't trust him. He has to win them over because we all have different levels of expectation.
For me, I trust his judgement even though he makes mistakes here and there. He's always aware of his mistakes and always tries to improve. He's not as stubborn as people think. He's flexible but has his personality and philosophy. Staying true to what you believe in isn't being stubborn, it's trusting what you do.
He navigated our season brilliantly even when some of us had lost hope. The truth remains that, with the makeup of this team, we have no right to be looking at competing with the best or challenging for the Premier League but he kept us close and made the top 4, which is a massive improvement.
We will keep improving under him. The mistake most of us make is thinking that this team and the manager are perfect or should be perfect and that they won't make silly mistakes. No, they are still learning and will have bozo moments here and there.
That's the profile of our team and that's the honest truth. It's about improving every month, every season and keep getting better and minimising mistakes.

Hopefully, we will soon be stable enough to earn that trust but before then, try to trust the process even if you don't fully trust the manager. It's not entirely his fault. It's collective.
