Another group of Ukrainian POWs — seriously ill and wounded — has returned home from Russian captivity. Each of the freed defenders suffers from severe medical conditions caused by injuries and the hardships of captivity: extreme weight loss, dystrophy, ulcers, vision problems, musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and digestive issues. Most of these soldiers had been held in captivity for over three years. Many were captured during the defense of Mariupol.
