A police complaint has been lodged in Bengaluru by the pro-Kannada group Karnataka Rakshana Vedike against actor Kamal Haasan for his controversial claim that “Kannada was born from Tamil.” The group, along with several Kannadigas, has threatened to blacken his face and boycott him across Karnataka.
