🔐 Web2 vs Web3 Wallet Accounts – What’s the Difference? Hello everyone, It's important to understand the difference between traditional Web2 accounts and Web3 wallet accounts. 🧾 Web2 Accounts (Username + Password) These are the classic accounts we all know: you log in with an email/username and a password. Your credentials are stored on a central server (e.g., Gmail, Facebook). If you forget your password, you can usually reset it via email. Example: Your StrDome shop account uses this login method, with ID and password. But in our case, you have an extra option to secure your account with 2FA. --- 🧬 Web3 Wallet Accounts (Private Key / Seed Phrase) These are decentralized accounts, created and controlled only by you. There is NO username or password. Access is granted using a Private Key or a Seed Phrase (usually 12 or 24 words). If you lose your private key or seed phrase, you permanently lose access — NO ONE (not even support) can restore it. Example: When you register on STR.Domains, a Web3 wallet is automatically generated, and you must save your private key securely. --- ⚠️ Important Reminder: Web2 = easy to reset, but less secure (centralized) Web3 = more secure, but you are fully responsible for your access 📌 Always save your Private Key or Seed Phrase in a secure place, ideally offline. It is the only way to prove ownership and access your Web3 wallet. Best regards, Iulian Bondari
