The Gabbra/ Gabra People of Kenya The Gabra people are a cushitic speaking nomadic pastoralist people who inhabit mainly the Chalbi Desert in Northern Kenya, and some parts of the Southern highlands of Ethiopia. They belong to the greater Oromo Speaking Community of the Horn of Africa. The Gabra woman shown here is wearing the traditional headwear, which is unique to her community culture.
