My father used to tell us that my mother was his wealth. They built together. My Mom was married from the village to meet my father in Lagos. Then, my dad was working with Ports. One day, he dropped money for the house and went to work only to come back to meet a provision shop in front of his house. My mom also hawked even against my father's wishes. My mom built with him. I am not as hardworking as my mom but I love the idea of building 'WITH'. Not building alone or watching my husband build but doing it together. If all we end up building is happiness and great children, it will be enough for me. The idea of being alone when you are in a relationship or marriage is cr4zy. You are buying stuff and hiding it from your spouse. You have money that your spouse is not aware of. Different things we see in marriages today, is really cr4zy for me. To what end? If we are together, then why do we need to have our things separately??? I understand some women do that because they are scared the man may change and become something else but it is too much a burden. There is so much power in TWO. Build Together. Fight Together.
