Tokai Residents, We are writing to inform you of a planned EFF march on Monday, 26 May 2025, that may cause significant traffic disruption in Tokai. The planned route will run from Tokai Library to the US Embassy via Tokai Road and Steenberg, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We understand that permission was granted for 500 participants. Traffic Impact: Expect considerable delays on: •⁠ ⁠Ou Kaapse Weg to Tokai corridor •⁠ ⁠Steenberg Road •⁠ ⁠Surrounding connecting roads Premier will have additional resources in the area on Monday: •⁠ ⁠Teams on both sides of Tokai Road •⁠ ⁠Two additional teams near Blue Route •⁠ ⁠One team near Steenberg shopping centre •⁠ ⁠Bike patrol in Tokai suburbs •⁠ ⁠All Tokai cameras will be monitored live during the march Recommendations: If traveling in these areas on Monday, please allow extra time and consider alternative routes where possible.
