GOOD MORNING AND WELCOME TO THE EARLY KNOCK. 09/06/2025 WEEK 2 THIS WEEK'S THEME : UNDERSTANDING THE BELIEVERS MANDATE TOPIC : UNDERSTANDING YOUR MANDATE SCRIPTURAL PASSAGE. Acts 1:8, Matthew 5:14-17, Isaiah 60:1-4. INTRODUCTION: Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. The believer's mandate is a call to action, encouraging believers to be actively involved in sharing the message of Jesus and making disciples throughout the world. This mandate is associated with the "Great Commission" in Matthew 28:18-20, which instructs believers to "go and make disciples of all nations." Every mandate has an expiration date which means the moment your time on earth is over your mandate too is over. Kingdom mindedness is the focal point to maximizing and fulfilling a mandate. John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This scripture reveals that everyone on earth is sent from God, no one appears on earth till heaven would've decided their mandate. He says in Jeremiah 1:5 that "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations". That means what you will be was already decided before you were formed, you don't come here and decide to be anything you want to be just because you have power to do so, or allow the enemy to decide the outcome of your mandate. Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. THE KEY ACTIVITIES IN A BELIEVERS MANDATE: SOUL WINNING: The mandate involves actively engaging with the world and sharing the gospel message. Mark 16:15 This verse instructs believers to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature". Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. -THE WITNESS OF JESUS Acts 1:8: This passage emphasizes the power of the Holy Spirit in fulfilling the mandate, stating that believers will be witnesses to Jesus "in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth". -THE DEMONSTRATION OF GOOD WORKS: Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. - MAKE DISCIPLES: This involves not just sharing the information, but also nurturing and growing new believers in their faith. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. PRAYER OF AFFIRMATION: Father! Help me to obey you completely and to fulfill your mandate for my life here on earth in Jesus mighty name 🙏.
