🟠 The Power of Nahw — Arabic Grammar & the Qur’an
Did you know that the i‘raab (grammatical ending) of a single word in Arabic can change the entire meaning of a verse?
📖 Take this example:
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ — Allāhu akbar
Here, اللَّهُ (Allah) is in the nominative case (raf‘) — He is the one who is greatest.
Now imagine if you mistakenly said:
اللَّهَ أَكْبَرُ (with a fatḥa instead of a ḍammah)
That would make “Allah” the object, not the subject — and render the sentence incorrect and grammatically offensive.
🔍 This is the power of Nahw. It protects the meanings of the Qur’an and the speech of the Prophet ﷺ.
When you understand Arabic grammar, you’re not just memorising rules — you’re safeguarding the meanings of revelation.
