*Mother and daughter gang-raped by thugs in Makueni* Detectives in Mukaa Constituency, Makueni County, are investigating a violent attack where a woman and her 20-year-old daughter were gang-raped by four armed men who also tied up the husband and stole 46 goats. The incident occurred at around 11pm on Tuesday night. Neighbours later recovered 40 of the stolen goats, but the suspects escaped with six. The attack has outraged villagers, who blame local security forces for failing to prevent rising cases of livestock theft and sexual violence. In response, police have pledged increased patrols and community collaboration. Malili sub-county Police Commander Hussein Abduba confirmed that recent efforts have led to the recovery of 98 goats and 14 cows.
