As a continuation of MDEC’s participation in the FIKRAtech Roundtable in Jakarta, the team led by Ir. Wan Murdani Wan Mohamad, Head of Digital Industry Acceleration, engaged with both new and existing ecosystem partners in Indonesia. The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and unlock greater opportunities for Malaysian tech companies through regional partnerships. Discussions were held with Malaysian companies based in Indonesia, including Elabram, Xanderia, Masyref, and Macrokiosk, alongside leading Indonesian fintech players such as Hijra by Alami Group and Doku Wallet. The team also met with key Indonesia-based ecosystem enablers, including Living Lab Ventures and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). These engagements focused on exploring potential collaborations to drive bilateral innovation, support market access, and encourage the co-creation of digital solutions between Malaysia and Indonesia. Special attention was given to the Islamic Digital Economy, with discussions centred around Islamic fintech, Shariah-compliant finance, and social finance innovation. These efforts reflect a shared commitment to advancing the Malaysia–Indonesia digital economy agenda, in line with the spirit of ASEAN integration and cooperation. #SayaDigital #MalaysiaDigital
