Inaugurated and addressed the annual commemoration of the passing of the founder of Santhigiri Ashram, Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru. The special occasion is known as Nava Oli Jyothirdinam, or the "auspicious day of the new light of wisdom". It is observed annually on May 6th, the day he attained Samadhi. I paid homage at the parnassala in Santhigiri and spoke to the audience of his invaluable teachings. An impressive cross-section of religious leaders attended, making the occasion a remarkable tribute to inter-faith harmony

Even when the nation is confronting a crisis, the daily issues of ordinary citizens cannot be neglected. Spent time at the MP office attending to petitions and requests from across the constituency (In addition to those i receive daily at home) And there’s always time for students wanting an interaction— and authors presenting their books!

One of the emotionally painful responsibilities of a constituency MP is paying condolence visits to the bereaved. Visited the homes of each of the four young men from Neyyattinkara Taluka who were killed in a highway accident on the way to Velankanni last week
