Good morning! Houston has one more day of relatively warm weather before a major crash in temperatures arrive. A cold front will arrive later Tuesday bringing with it the possibility for rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds before cold air pushes in. The risk of a few strong storms and multiple freezing mornings are ahead. The Tuesday morning commute may be a tad slower as spotty and mainly light showers dot the radar. Showers that stream onshore from the southeast will become heavier by midday. Scattered storms may tap into enough instability to allow for a few strong storms capable of producing large hail by the early afternoon. Tuesday’s window for strong storms opens in the afternoon by 2 to 3 p.m. The risk for severe weather is relatively low, but it still wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep yourself tuned into what’s going on throughout the day. Who among us is ready for warmer weather? We can all agree that last week was quite chilly in Houston. For those of us looking forward to more spring-like temperatures, this week's forecast provides that much needed boost in mood as temperatures climb out of the freezer. Monday gets underway with a bit of a chill. Temperatures early on generally start in the lower to middle 40s, but as wind direction shifts, a warming pattern will kick into high gear. Monday may feel like downright balmy as high temperatures reach into the upper 60s. You'll want to dress for the 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday. Hello everyone! 🌞 Houston's been feeling unusually warm this week, with temperatures soaring into the 80s instead of the usual 60s. At Bush Intercontinental Airport, we've seen records consistently broken, with temperatures hitting highs like 84 on Tuesday. But don't worry, a cold front with a splash of rain is on its way soon. On Saturday, we'll enjoy temperatures nearly 20 degrees above the norm, and Sunday will be our last warm day before cooler weather arrives.
