Houston has been on quite a wild weather ride this week. After subfreezing temperatures began in time for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, a winter storm Monday night and Tuesday produced the most significant snowfall in Southeast Texas since 2008. The widespread 2 to 4 inches of snow that fell this week across Greater Houston have all but melted entirely as daytime temperatures have gradually increased since Wednesday morning. What little bit of snow may linger in the shadows will be washed away this weekend as rain returns.
