Shocking footage shows the moment a police officer was bitten by a dog inside a property in Ibstock, leaving him with serious injuries. On the afternoon of Thursday 26 October in 2023, two local officers attended an address in Lewis Close wanting to speak to Aden Hollyoake, who lived at the address. Hollyoake’s partner Shanell Lawrence answered the door and when officers explained they wanted to speak to her about Hollyoake, Lawrence allowed them into the address. She told the officers she had dogs in the house, and they were in the kitchen, but they were fine to come inside. Less than a minute inside, as one of the officers stood talking to Lawrence in the doorway from the hall into the lounge, one of the dogs inside the property suddenly pushed open the closed kitchen door before rushing through the lounge and up to the officer attacking him. Since June 2023, we have been running Op Pedalfast, an ongoing dedicated policing operation focused on engaging with users of illegal/modified e-scooters and e-bikes that do not conform to EPAC regulations. This is in response to community safety concerns raised around the use of e-scooters and e-bikes being ridden through the city. When an e-scooter or e-bike is found to be illegal (not conforming to EPAC regulations), riders are educated and issued a warning. The warning is logged on force systems so that if these riders are stopped a second time, officers can initiate the next stage of the approach and seize the vehicle. This week, our City team stopped 57 riders. - 29 riders were compliant and were allowed to continue their journey. - ⁠17 riders had their vehicle seized. - ⁠11 riders with e-bikes which did not conform to legislation had their vehicle seized. A rapist who exhibited controlling, coercive and violent behaviour towards a woman has been jailed after her brave account in court helped to convict him. Adrian Lee - also known as Adrian Tiene - carried out his horrific crimes over a week-long period. Just days after meeting his victim, he moved his belongings into her home - and started to tell her she could not see her friends.
