⸻ درحقیقت ایشیائی ممالک، خصوصاً پاکستان، میں لوگ سخت محنت تو کر رہے ہیں مگر دولت نہیں بنا پا رہے اور نہ ہی عوامی و نجی شعبے میں کسی شعبے میں مثبت ترقی دیکھنے کو ملتی ہے۔ اس افسوسناک صورتحال کی سب سے بڑی وجہ پاکستان کا ناقص اور بے معنی تعلیمی نظام ہے۔ پاکستان میں تعلیم کا معیار صرف اس بات سے ناپا جاتا ہے کہ کوئی طالبعلم رواں انگریزی بول سکتا ہو اور امتحانات میں زیادہ نمبر لے آئے، جبکہ دوسری طرف وہ مضامین جو کسی عملی مہارت یا پیداوار سے متعلق نہیں، انہیں پڑھایا جا رہا ہے اور طلبہ انہی میں بیچلر اور ماسٹر کی ڈگریاں حاصل کر رہے ہیں۔ یہ سب وقت کا ضیاع، زندگی کا ضیاع اور پیسے کا ضیاع ہے کیونکہ ایسے فارغ التحصیل نوجوان نہ ہنر رکھتے ہیں، نہ علم رکھتے ہیں اور نہ ہی کوئی ایسی شے تخلیق کرنے کے قابل ہوتے ہیں جسے مارکیٹ میں متعارف کروایا جا سکے۔ پاکستانی طلبہ سرکاری وظیفوں یا خود ساختہ اسٹوڈنٹ ویزوں پر بیرونِ ملک اعلیٰ تعلیم کے لیے جاتے ہیں، جہاں وہ ایسے مضامین میں ڈگریاں حاصل کرتے ہیں جو خاص طور پر اوورسیز طلبہ کے لیے بنائے گئے ہیں۔ چاہے وہ بیچلر ہو، ماسٹر ہو یا پی ایچ ڈی، ان مضامین کی تعلیم کا عملی دنیا میں کوئی فائدہ نہیں۔ یہ تعلیم یافتہ نوجوان جب بیرون ملک فارغ التحصیل ہوتے ہیں تو ان کے لیے وہاں صرف فیکٹریوں میں پیکنگ جیسے کم درجے کے کام ہی میسر آتے ہیں۔ بدقسمتی سے یہ نوجوان واپس آ کر پاکستان میں اعلیٰ عہدوں پر تعینات ہو جاتے ہیں، جہاں انہیں صرف اس بنیاد پر پرکشش تنخواہیں اور مراعات ملتی ہیں کہ انہوں نے غیر ملکی ڈگری حاصل کی ہے اور انگریزی روانی سے بول سکتے ہیں۔ نہ ان کے پاس کوئی عملی مہارت ہوتی ہے، نہ ہی کوئی پروڈکٹ تخلیق کرنے کی صلاحیت۔ یہ نظام پاکستان کی معیشت پر مزید بوجھ بن رہا ہے اور ملک کو معاشی بدحالی کی طرف دھکیل رہا ہے۔ بدقسمتی سے یہ سلسلہ آج تک جاری ہے۔ براہِ کرم اس کا خاتمہ کیا جائے۔
