Acting swiftly on forward-backward linkages in a follow-up action, Counter Intelligence, Amritsar made a significant breakthrough by recovering an additional 3 Kg Heroin from Lovepreet Singh. This additional 3 Kg Heroin recovery is done on the basis of the disclosure statement of the accused Harmandeep Singh from aforesaid Lovepreet Singh at Bus Stand Khasa, Amritsar-Attari GT Road, Amritsar. Lovepreet Singh has been arrested and named as an accused in the FIR. During the initial operation initiated on dated 18.02.2025 on the basis of secret information, 10 Kg Heroin were recovered from accused Harmandeep Singh. With the recent recovery, the total quantity of heroin seized in connection with this case has now reached 13 Kgs. Acting swiftly on intelligence inputs, Patiala Police busts a target killing module and apprehends 2 operatives of a foreign-based gangster Goldy Dhillon from Rajpura, Patiala. Both accused were tasked with carrying out target killings in Mohali and Rajpura on the directions of Gangster Goldy Dhillon. Their arrest has also led to the solving of two previous cases related to target killings at #Mohali and #Rajpura. Both accused have a history of criminal activities, with multiple cases registered against them. In a major breakthrough Batala Police busts a major extortion racket run by #USA based Gurdev Jassal and apprehends two persons. Preliminary investigation reveals, on 4th February, associates of Jassal fired on petrol pump of Kalanaur based businessman. After continuous threat calls and demand of ₹1 crore the businessman eventually paid ₹50 lacs on 11 February. Acting on technical investigation, ASI Surjit Singh and Ankus Maini were arrested for their involvement in the collection and distribution of extortion funds.   Jassal’s gang used foreign numbers for threats and coordinate payments, ensuring that the extortion funds were routed through multiple intermediaries. In a major breakthrough, Anti Gangster Task Force (#AGTF), Punjab apprehends an associate of terrorist Lakhbir Singh @ Landa Harike. The arrested accused Sukhchain @ Bhujia was wanted in a recent attempt to murder case at Bhikhi, #Mansa. The arrested accused has a criminal history with number of criminal cases such as attempt to murder, Arms Act and NDPS Act etc, registered against him. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested accused was planning to target rival gang members. Recovery: one 32 Caliber pistol and 05 live cartridges. In an intelligence based operation, CI Amritsar apprehends Harmandeep Singh from Village Mahal, Amritsar, and recovers 10 Kg Heroin. The arrested accused was constantly in-touch with Pakistan-based smuggler Chacha Bawa, who sent heroin via drones in the Attari sector for further distribution. In an intelligence-based operation, State Special Operation Cell (#SSOC), Mohali has apprehended two key operatives of BKI (Babar Khalsa International) directly linked to #Pak-based BKI terrorist Harwinder Singh Rinda & #USA-based Happy Passian, a major blow to cross-border terror networks. As per their initial disclosure, the accused committed a murder and severely injured another in Nanded, #Maharashtra, on February 10, 2025, following Rinda’s directions.
