*Storytime* “I tried to conceive for three years and failed. My husband had two other children from a previous marriage so the blame was automatically placed on me. She cut off some of the flesh and I bled. She removed three more bits of flesh and by that time I was bleeding more and becoming weaker. I passed out and regained consciousness moments later,” she said. Panicking, the faith healer used her donkey drawn cart which took her to the hospital. The journey was long as it had rained the previous night and roads were difficult to navigate. “We eventually got to the hospital and I was immediately attended to. It was a horrific experience, I almost died. My husband has stopped pushing for a baby ever since the experience. We will wait for God’s time,” she added.

Soo what is sare???🤔🤔 What the Doctor Says 📌 *Sare is a myth* In reality it does not happen. There are many things that are perceived as "sare". These includes remains of the hymen after one is no longer a virgin, one sided elongated labia or vaginal lips and rugae-ripples or ridges in the vaginal lining which is a normal type of growth. There are some pathological or abnormal growths that women consider to be "sare". Among these are pimples in the vagina, scar tissue after child birth, varicose veins, polyps, piles, anal tags and even genital warts. *Polyps* which most women perceive to be the English word for sare can grow anywhere: on the face, hands, just anywhere on a human being. 📌 *Myths are exactly what they are, untrue and completely dangerous.* Children are dying soon after birth due to lack of nutrition and various infections, among other things. *Soo what is Sare?????* 🤔🤔 *According to traditional healers and some prophets* it is believed to be a growth that is located at the mouth of the vagina, slightly or just between the vaginal entrance and anus and is said to be very itchy sometimes. It is thought to cause children to die and also women to miscarry. It is also believed to be the cause of divorce as the women with SARE are rejected by their partners. There are several things said to be associated with SARE such as causing bad temper in women or decreasing libido or increased libido in some women. Sometimes women are called witches because of this "SARE" . Those who believe in it say that it must be cut off . The sad and frightening thing is that these "backyard surgeons" are not trained in infection control and in human anatomy or physiology. There is risk that they may reuse the same blades to cut several women which can result in the spread of infections such as HIV and Hepatitis B and C. There are no measures taken to prevent women from bleeding to death or facilities to give blood to women if they lose blood during the 'operation". Women anatomy down below comes in different forms and shapes and this can confused untrained people who may end up cutting normal tissue mistaking it for abnormal growth. This has sadly resulted in some women suffering from severe infections or being left with permanent damages resulting in them leaking urine or faeces for the rest of their lives. Some women claim if you pay for the service, chances are that it will re-appear. Others argue that if you do not pay, that is when the sare will reappear. 🏥 *Testicular Torsion* > Testicular torsion is a painful condition where your testicle twists and loses its blood supply. It requires emergency🚑 care.
