One of the major takeaways was the confirmation that the Margherita to Changlang road project has been sanctioned, with construction expected to commence soon. Additionally, both district Superintendents of Police vowed to work together in a more coordinated manner to combat the rising drug menace in the region. Officials from both sides also agreed to enforce stricter measures to curb illegal mining activities affecting both districts. There was discussion on power purchase agreement, agriculture procurement, and joint tourism promotion as well in the meeting. The meeting reinforced the commitment of both administrations to resolving disputes amicably and working collaboratively for regional stability, development, and long-term cooperation.

28.02.25: 1/2 DC-LEVEL INTER-DISTRICT MEETING ADDRESSES ASSAM-ARUNACHAL BOUNDARY DISPUTE AND other related issues A Deputy Commissioner-level inter-district meeting between Changlang district (Arunachal Pradesh), and Tinsukia district (Assam), was held at the DC Conference Hall in Tinsukia to discuss pressing issues concerning both districts. The meeting, initiated by Changlang DC Vishal Sah, IAS and chaired jointly by both DCs focused on key concerns, including boundary disputes, illegal mining, infrastructure development, and power agreements between the two states. Tirap Changlang Longding Peoples Forum (TCLPF) President N. Changmi, All Changlang Border Student Union President Gankhum Ronrang, ADC Jairampur, and DFO Jairampur represented the Changlang district during the discussions. A significant resolution was made regarding the recent entry of Assam forest officials into Arunachal territory, with assurances that such incidents would be minimised in coming days.

21.02.25 : Good evening denizens of Changlang dist! Dist admin is committed to reduce hardship during each monsoon season and ensure that essential supplies are available during such periods prone to disruption. To achieve the same this year we have done *monsoon preparedness meeting* for this year in February itself which is a *trend away* from earlier years when it used to be done as late as in may when monsoon has already started. We have also *updated* our *disaster management plan* to reflect circle wise *risk and vulnerability assessment* and institutionalised a *circle wise incident response system(IRS)* for better coordination during response period. For general public and leaders, *youth organisations*, I appeal to see that we can reduce the *drowning* cases to zero. Please carry out *door to door campaign* to achieve the same. These meetings have also been conducted in each subdivision of dist before the dist level meeting.

*Positive News* 22.02.25 SDO, Kharsang Shri Dorjee Wanghcu has undertaken the maintenance and cleaning of the water well at the Primary School, Kharsang Tinali.The well was thoroughly cleaned to remove accumulated debris and ensure the water remains potable for students and staff. Additionally, the cemented lid covering the well was replaced to enhance safety and hygiene. When officers posted from outside takes such initiative it goes long way in cementing ties with the society.

Good morning Changlang dist! Sharing a laudable initiative of ADC Miao Shri RD Thungon, who has made it binding for employees of his establishment to wear traditional dress on every Friday. Such an initiative goes long way in promoting and preserving our colourful and vibrant culture.

Circle Review visit by ADC Changlang Shri Marpe Riba, APCS to Namtok on 24/2/25 :- This visit has paved the way for getting first hand information and factual report of the activities going on in various fields. Visit was done as per directions of DC Changlang in which all ADCs have been asked to review their subdivisions regularly. Visited the ongoing projects being undertaken by line departments and asses the quality etc as per DPR on ground. Namtok being the bordering Admin Hq to Assam the issue of boundary disputes has been a regular phenomena. The Circle Hq land issue, Telecommunication bottleneck, Road connectivity issues, Shortage of Teachers, Govt. Accommodation un-availability, Absence of Public Transport System and Non- supply of LPG refill by the Agency are some of the major problems that were highlighted today. SHGs, GBs, PRI members and general public were among the presence besides Govt staff.

24.02.25: DC Changlang Shri Vishal Sah, IAS chaired the scientific advisory committee meeting of KVK Jairampur,Changlang along with ADC Jairampur Shri L Thungon, and HoO of agri and allied dept. The work of KVK on farm trails, demonstration and training was reviewed and their annual action plan for next financial year was put to vote. DC appealed all officials present to work together to ensure agriculture potential of Changlang dist is fully utilised. Progressive farmers, SHG, BMM of ArSRLM were also present and they stressed on the need of more training of farmers by KVK in this year.
