Their visit, inspired by stories they had heard of Balinong, was not just about food—it was about soul, tradition, and togetherness. The talented women of Ahan Jakhsum SHG crafted an authentic Tangsa lunch experience, and the students took part not as guests, but as fellow storytellers—learning through touch, taste, and tradition. From deep cultural insights to a BYA-curated village tour, to the heartfelt felicitation with Sumlah (our cultural journal), this journey celebrated everything BYA stands for — heritage, empowerment, and exchange. As the flavours lingered and friendships blossomed, this wasn’t just a visit — it was a cultural handshake.
