#RTA is set to open a new entry and exit point to Al Warqa directly from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road early next week (start of June), aiming to facilitate smoother access to and from the neighbourhood. Development projects in Al Warqa also include upgrades to the internal road networks in Al Warqa 3 and 4. These works involve road paving, the construction of pedestrian walkways, pavements, and parking spaces, along with the implementation of cycling tracks exceeding 23 km in total length. The goal is to enhance connectivity with neighbouring cycle tracks and promote alternative, sustainable modes of transport.

كرم معالي مطر الطاير المدير العام ورئيس مجلس المديرين في الهيئة، السيد محمد عبيد الملا، عضو مجلس المديرين في الهيئة، وذلك بمناسبة انتهاء فترة عملة في الهيئة. وأثنى معاليه خلال الحفل الذي حضره عدد من المديرين التنفيذيين ومديري الإدارات في الهيئة، على الجهود المخلصة التي بذلها محمد عبيد الملا، خلال فترة عمله في حكومة دبي لأكثر من 40 سنة، ومساهمته في تطوير منظومة العمل الإداري والتنظيمي لقطاع مركبات الأجرة والمواصلات العامة. وأعرب الطاير عن شكره وتقديره للسيد محمد عبيد الملا، على جهوده ومساهمته خلال فترة عمله في حكومة دبي، ومشاركته الفاعلة في الإنجازات التي حققتها الهيئة منذ تأسيها. من جانبه أعرب الملا، عن شكره وتقديره لهذه اللفتة الكريمة، التي تعكس حرص قيادة الهيئة على الاحتفاء بجهود موظفيها الذين شاركوا وساهموا في الإنجازات التي حققتها الهيئة، معرباً عن تمنياته لفريق العمل بالتوفيق والنجاح، لتواصل الهيئة جهودها المتميزة في تحقيق رؤية القيادة الرشيدة. During the ceremony, which was attended by several CEOs and directors, H.E. Al Tayer commended Al Mulla’s dedicated service spanning over 40 years with Dubai Government, as well as his contributions to the development of the administrative and organisational framework of the taxi and public transport sector. Al Tayer extended his sincere appreciation to Al Mulla for his efforts and contributions throughout his tenure with Dubai Government and his role in RTA’s achievements since its establishment. For his part, Al Mulla expressed his gratitude for this generous gesture, which reflects RTA’s commitment to recognising the efforts and contributions of its team members. He wished RTA team continued success in supporting the wise leadership’s vision.

استجابةً لمقترحات سكّان منطقة الورقاء، وتعزيزاً لانسيابية الحركة المرورية المحيطة بالمنطقة، تفتتح #هيئة_الطرق_و_المواصلات في #دبي مدخلاً ومخرجاً جديدين لمنطقة الورقاء، مباشرة من شارع الشيخ محمد بن زايد الأسبوع القادم (مطلع يونيو)، لتسهيل عملية الدخول والخروج من وإلى المنطقة. ضمن مشروع يسهم عند اكتماله في زيادة الطاقة الاستيعابية بمقدار 5000 مركبة في الساعة، وخفض زمن الرحلة بنسبة 80%، من 20 دقيقة إلى 3.5 دقائق، وتقليل المسافة المقطوعة للرحلات من 5.7 كيلومترات إلى 1.5 كيلومتراً. A total of 893 shelters have been installed across 622 locations. The inspection and maintenance campaign began in March and will continue through the second quarter of 2025. #RTA conducted extensive site visits during morning and evening hours to ensure the round-the-clock efficiency of air-conditioned shelters, and to take immediate corrective action whenever technical issues were identified. We also verified the functionality of digital display screens that provide real-time information on bus arrivals and departures. تنفيذاً لتوجيهات القيادة الرشيدة (حفظها الله)، بتسريع وتيرة العمل في تطوير مشاريع البنية التحتية لشبكة الطرق، ورفع طاقتها الاستيعابية، لتعزيز انسيابية الحركة المرورية في إمارة دبي، بهدف مواكبة التنمية الشاملة التي تشهدها الإمارة، أعلنت "هيئة_الطرق_و_المواصلات مشروعاً حضرياً متكاملاً لتطوير شارع أم سقيم من تقاطعه مع شارع جميرا حتى شارع الخيل، وذلك استكمالاً للمشروع الجاري تنفيذه حالياَ لتطوير شارع أم سقيم من تقاطعه مع شارع الخيل حتى تقاطعه مع شارع الإمارات، بحيث تصبح الحركة المرورية عند اكتمال المشروع حرة ودون توقف من منطقة جميرا حتى شارع القدرة بطول 20 كيلومتراً، ويتجاوز المشروع مفهوم توسعة وتطوير الشارع، إلى إضفاء العنصر الإبداعي والجمالي على المنطقة، وذلك من خلال إنشاء ممرات مطورة للمشاة ومسار للدراجات الهوائية، إلى جانب إنشاء شوارع متكاملة: (بوليفارد)، ومساحات حضرية لتعزيز التفاعل المجتمعي وتوفير بيئات حضرية حيوية وشاملة، وربط محطة مترو مول الإمارات بالمجتمعات السكنية المحيطة بشارع أم سقيم، عبر تنفيذ تحسينات، تستهدف تعزيز الوصول المتكامل والسلس. لقراءة الخبر، يرجى زيارة الموقع الإلكتروني rta.ae In line with the directives of the leadership to accelerate the development of road infrastructure and expand traffic capacity across #Dubai, #RTA announces an integrated urban project to upgrade Umm Suqeim Street, from its intersection with Jumeirah Street to Al Khail Road. This project complements works currently underway to upgrade Umm Suqeim Street from its intersection with Al Khail Road to Emirates Road, ultimately enabling uninterrupted traffic flow from Jumeirah to Al Qudra Road over a total distance of 20 kilometres. The project goes beyond traditional road widening and development by integrating creative and aesthetic enhancements into the surrounding urban landscape. It features upgraded pedestrian walkways, a dedicated cycling track, and complete streets (boulevards), alongside vibrant urban spaces designed to create inclusive, dynamic environments. It also establishes a direct link between Mall of the Emirates Metro Station and nearby residential communities through targeted improvements that ensure smooth, integrated, and seamless access.
