Proverbs 18:1-2 GNT [1] People who do not get along with others are interested only in themselves; they will disagree with what everyone else knows is right. [2] A fool does not care whether he understands a thing or not; all he wants to do is show how smart he is.

Proverbs 18:1-2 CEV [1] It's selfish and stupid to think only of yourself and to sneer at people who have sense. [2] Fools have no desire to learn, instead they would rather give their own opinion.

does the scripture above confirm that we can not and do not need to fully understand everything about God because we can't know and understand everything about him?

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV [9] Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: [10] If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

a reminder: ๐๐ฝ Psalms 97:10-12 NIV [10] Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. [11] Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. [12] Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.

Ecclesiastes 11:5 NKJV [5] As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.

The verse ( Ecclesiastes 11:5) confirms that we cannot and do not need to fully understand everything about God or his works. God is sovereign; he is all-powerful and all-knowing. He is not like us; his thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Even though he reveals himself (through creation, scripture, Christ), his fullness remains beyond our understanding (Deuteronomy 29:29). The scripture is not saying that we shouldn't seek to know God; we absolutely should, but the fact is that we cannot know him exhaustively. We do not need to understand why God allows certain things or how exactly he works in every situation to trust that he is sovereign, good, and working out his purposes. This verse frees us from the feeling that we need a complete intellectual understanding of God's nature, actions and ways. We cannot know everything about God or his works. Therefore, we do not need to understand everything about God or his works. We just need to trust him and have faith in him. He doesn't need to prove anything to you.

We should live to advance the Kingdom - Paul Washer

How desperately do you crave people liking you? - John Piper.

When you read the Psalms, you will see that David was a human being just like us. He prayed like us, faced troubles, and had good days and bad days. If you know his full story, you will understand that he experienced many ups and downs. These things happen to all people, even believers. But through it all, we see our need for God. We realize that in times of trouble, it is the Lord who preserves us. He is the one we must trust. Lessons: We must pray always. We must read and know the Word of God. Days of trouble may come, but that doesn't mean God is absent and is punishing us. We must trust God even in times of trouble. Ladies and gentlemen, we will face challenges, but God is in control. He remains sovereign over all things, and He must be worshiped at all times both in good and bad days.
