More progress has been made at National Trust Sandilands over recent weeks – and the wildlife is already beginning to enjoy it! 🦆🪶 This week marks the end of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund’s involvement with the project as the current phase of the funding closes. However, much more progress is to come over the next few weeks, with the upcoming installation of play equipment and elements such as open water, islands, walkways and boardwalks already taking shape. This is part of the wider funding package, including Town Deal Funds, delivered by Connected Coast. Keep an eye out for further updates! 👀📢

News release 🗞️📢 The South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership is pleased to announce an exciting new collaboration with Arts&Heritage (A&H), bringing together local artists and heritage partners to uncover and celebrate the region’s rich history in innovative ways. The project is part of Story Tellers NPO, the Partnership’s Arts Council England NPO programme, which aims to fund a programme of art and culture centred on the rich heritage and stories from Boston borough, East Lindsey and South Holland. As part of this new collaboration, a series of free Artist and Heritage Matchmaking Workshops will take place between Saturday 1 March and Monday 3 March across the sub-region. These workshops will aim to foster new connections between artists of all disciplines and local heritage organisations, helping to tell the untold stories of South and East Lincolnshire from fresh perspectives. The workshops, open to artists and heritage organisations, will take place at: • Cley Hall Hotel, Spalding – Saturday 1st March, 10:30am-3.30pm • North Sea Observatory, Chapel St Leonards – Sunday 2nd March, 10am-3.30pm • Boston Guildhall – Monday 3rd March, 10am-3.30pm To register, please email [email protected], stating whether you are an artist or a heritage partner. News release 🗞️📢 East Lindsey District Council has this week announced the allocation of over £7.8million of investment in the district, as part of a transformational fund designed to create welcoming places, support events, attract visitors, develop local communities and enable business growth. The East Lindsey Investment Fund, which was approved by councillors in September, created a £10million budget, with the council’s Executive Board this week approving the award of £7.83million for use across the Fund’s four distinct target areas of community development, promoting the visitor economy, business support and to boost the attractiveness of the area. Walkers and nature lovers are now benefitting from new features which are enhancing and preserving Seacroft Marsh, a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Skegness 🌱🌼 East Lindsey District Council in partnership with the Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner has installed fencing and gates to preserve the important attraction as well as interpretation panels and new signs to enhance the area. The measures are deterring the area from being used anti-socially, particularly from quad bikes and other motorised vehicles. Read more: https://loom.ly/24AEg8I
