But current approaches are opportunistic, piecemeal, and fragmented. New thinking—a digital-in-health approach—is needed to get more value out of technology and data, ensuring health systems deliver care that is accessible, equitable and cost-effective. Digital-in-health goes beyond the conventional understanding of digital health by integrating technology and data across various aspects of health systems, including financing, service delivery, nutrition, research, pandemic preparedness, and medical education. Incorporating digital elements in every part of health systems and their management can make health services more accessible, efficient, affordable, and relevant to the population. *Read more* :👉 https://blogs.worldbank.org/en/health/digital-health-unlocking-value-everyone?cid=HNP_TT_health_EN_EXT 🤳 *Leveraging Digital Solutions to Advance Health Sector to improve the wellbeing of the community.*

Tobacco is smoked or chewed but is related to many other cancers beyond the lung or mouth. Tobacco contains at least 80 different cancer-causing agents and is a major risk factor for over 20 different types of cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Over 80% of the 1.3 billion tobacco users worldwide live in low- and middle-income countries. *Alcohol consumption* , even moderate consumption, can increase the risk of at least six types of cancers including bowel (colorectal), breast, mouth, pharynx, and larynx (mouth and throat), oesophageal, liver and stomach. Alcohol is estimated to have caused 4% of all cancer cases in 2020. *Unhealthy diets and nutrition* and the food we eat are closely linked to some cancers. There is strong evidence to show that eating processed meats such as ham, bacon, salami, and sausages can cause bowel cancer. While diets high in red meat, salt or sugars are risk factors for some cancers and a range of noncommunicable diseases. *Overweight and obesity,* where the body is carrying excess weight, are linked to an increased risk of developing 12 cancers. These include endometrial, breast, ovarian, prostate, liver, gallbladder, kidney, and colon. *Some infections* are more likely to lead to cancer because viruses can make changes to a cell that can become cancerous. This includes human papillomavirus (HPV) infections, which cause around 70% of cervical cancers. To learn more about Cervical Cancer (HPV) Through Digital healthlab.rw Open the Video via 👇👉 https://healthlab.rw/courses/cancer/ ... Liver cancer and non-Hodgkin lymphoma can also be caused by the hepatitis B (HBV) and hepatitis C (HBC) virus. *Other modifiable risk factors* are linked to the environment around us and our places of work. These include air pollution, exposure to manmade sources of radiation, and prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiations from the sun and tanning beds which can also lead to melanoma and skin malignancies. *In addition to these modifiable risks, the risk of cancer is also related to genetics and age.* This is because the longer someone lives, the more chance that they have been exposed to cancer-causing agents and the more time that genetic mutations can occur in their cells. ...........End......

https://x.com/healthlabrw/status/1885185094056341729?t=gAvcj4XaBvtGfZomanly8Q&s=19 STOP OVERTHINKING! Overthinking is not just a bad habit as it is seen, rather it’s a full-time enemy of your mental health and physical wellbeing. When you overthink, you may assume that you are just processing things but what you’re actually doing is stressing your body out unnecessarily. Come with me, let's break it down👇 WAYS THAT OVERTHINKING AFFECTS YOUR HEALTH 1• It Can Mess Up Your Mental Health & Sleep Pattern Your brain wasn’t wiresd to run consistently and efficiently for 24hrs. It needs a break to chill a bit. When you indulge in overthinking, you overstimulate your mind, making it difficult to relax and sleep well. Instead of taking a rest, your brain would be busy playing “what if” scenarios all night. What is the end result? The next day, you become challenged with fatigue, brain fog, and a cranky moo, which affects your productivity. 2• It Can Cause Mental Illness Overthinking everything increases your risk of anxiety disorders and depression. 🚨 *Watch video via health Lab to know what is depression, Open here* 👉https://healthlab.rw/courses/know-more-about-depression/ You end up having your brain stuck in a loop of worst-case scenarios, and before you realise it, your mind starts believing that they are real. 3• You Can’t Focus on Anything Else Overthinking has a way of hijacking your attention span. You’re trying to complete a task, but instead of focusing, your brain is busy analyzing past conversations, future issues, and even creating imaginary problems. When you finally evaluate your performance, it appears like you’re always behind on task. This feeling alone can make the situation worse. 4• It Can Weaken Your Immune System When you stress too much, your body sees the stress as a threat and goes into fight-or-flight mode. On of those stresses is overthinking. If after a while, that stress doesn’t go away, your immune system takes a hit. The more you overthink, the more vulnerable you become to illnesses. 5• It Can Spoil Your Appetite Have you ever noticed how stress either makes you overeat or completely lose your appetite? That’s simply because overthinking disrupts the hormones that regulate hunger. Some people stress-eat their way into weight gain, while others lose weight unintentionally. Neither of them is good. 6• It Can Increase Your Risk of Heart Disease When you overthink, your body releases stress hormones like cortisol, which can increase blood pressure and heart rate. Over time, this can lead to hypertension, other heart diseases, and an increased risk of strokes. 7• It Can Worsen Skin Issues Like Acne & Stretch Marks Overthinking is equal to more stress which will lead to higher cortisol levels. This hormonal chaos can make your skin extra sensitive, leading to acne breakouts, increased oil production, and even worsening stretch marks (especially on the abdomen and thighs). Your skin doesn’t like stress, so you need to chill and give yourself a break from all those thinking WHAT IS THE WAY OUT? -Set a time limit to think about things. Give yourself 5–15 minutes to think things through, then move on once the time lapses. -Practice mindfulness. Focus on now not the past or the future. -Write it down. More like dumping your thoughts on paper and let your brain breathe. Later you can look at them -Engage in stress-reducing activities. Exercise, listen to music, or just take deep breaths. -Stop stressing over things you cannot control. Life will go on whether you stress or not. Overthinking won’t solve your problems, but it will definitely create new problem. Let that sink in and keep it right in your mind. Did you learn from this post? Learning Never Ends🫶

https://x.com/healthlabrw/status/1878459641648099802?t=Tib3YkoeftSjqfJWugyC-g&s=19 📝 *Promoting inclusive and healthy longevity* By 2050, at least a third of the global population will be over 60. This has led to the rise of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, respiratory and heart conditions, cancers and depression, which are now the leading cause of death globally. Countries must act immediately to contend with this trend, ensuring effective prevention and control of non-communicable and chronic diseases that affect millions around the world. Equity must be at the core of all initiatives to tackle these diseases. Evidence shows that the poorest are most vulnerable to NCDs due to higher rates of smoking, alcohol use, obesity, and limited access to affordable, quality health care. In low- and middle-income country, for example, NCDs already account for over 70 percent of deaths and a significant share of disabilities. Their impact creates intergenerational traps of poverty that affect the prospects of entire families, including children’s futures. *Read more;*👉 https://blogs.worldbank.org/en/voices/how-to-unlock-the-power-of-healthy-longevity?cid=HNP_TT_health_EN_EXT 👉 *NCDs in developing countries Continues being the serious issue* 👈
