*We often teach our kids that faith means obedience. And it does.* But in episode 9 of What Everyone Should Know About Abraham, we learn something else: Faith also means compassion, even for those who oppose you. After a lifetime of submission, Abraham (AS) did something he’d never done before: He argued with Allah. Not to save himself. Not to save his son. But to save a sinful nation on the brink of destruction. *_Why?_* Because caring for people—even those who disagree with us—is at the heart of our deen. He was never afraid to be alone. But he never wanted anyone to be left behind. This episode teaches our children (and us) a profound truth: Being from the millah (religion) of Abraham (AS) doesn’t just mean praying and believing. It means thinking. Caring. Carrying the burden of others’ well-being, even when they don’t believe what we do. 🎥 *Watch the 9th episode with your children now on YouTube:* https://youtu.be/iRu3krQCO6I?si=Y6S0rh3oecLTqq_Q 📔 *Download the free workbook:* https://bayyinah.com/knowabraham/

*Every child hears the story.* But not every child understands the sacrifice of Abraham (AS). Episode 8 of What Everyone Should Know About Abraham pulls back the curtain on one of the most powerful moments in Islamic and world history. The day a father was willing to give up his beloved son. And the moment Allah stopped him. *Why would Allah ask such a thing?* Not for pain. Not for blood. But to end the idea that God demands suffering. In every other religion, sacrifice means paying with blood to please an angry god. But Abraham (AS) showed the opposite: Allah does not want suffering. He does not want our children, our pain, our despair. He wants us to trust Him. And He stops us before the knife ever touches. This episode reframes a difficult story with stunning clarity and teaches our kids (and us) the real meaning of obedience, trust and divine mercy. 🎥 *Watch Episode 8 with your kids today:* https://youtu.be/9urWXsXdLgk?si=yHPwdUrkZ-XYQa2T 📔 *Download the free workbook at:* https://bayyinah.com/knowabraham/

*What do you do when truth becomes controversial?* Surah Al-Ahzab opens not with ease, but with confrontation. Public pressure. Emotional distress. Internal unraveling. This is how the Surah begins. And in Episode 1, we begin with the weight of that reality. The Prophet ﷺ is being slandered. His marriage is used as a tool for social scandal. People in his own community are starting to whisper. The war of Ahzab may have ended, but the psychological war is just beginning. And Allah responds, not just with commands, but with love. The first ayah of this Surah begins: “O Prophet, be mindful of Allah. Do not yield to the disbelievers or the hypocrites…” This is the first of *five times* Allah says Ya Ayyuhan-Nabiyyu in this Surah, more than any other chapter of the Quran. A divine address filled with honor, reassurance and strength. What else happens in Episode 1? - We reflect on *why* this Surah is placed between Makki Surahs (despite being Madani). - We see how it ties thematically to Surah An-Nur, but with deeper social intensity. - We learn how Allah used the Prophet’s ﷺ controversial marriage to *dismantle unjust social norms,* especially around adoption and class. - We see the Quran doing what no historian can: interpret events with divine light. This isn’t a linear tafsir. It’s a layered journey into revelation, love and transformation. And it’s only just begun. *Eid Mubarak from all of us at Bayyinah.* 🌟 Today, we remember not just a ritual, but a legacy. A legacy of surrender. Of trust. Of love placed in the hands of the Divine. When Prophet Abraham (AS) was told to leave his family in a barren land, he obeyed. When he was shown a dream to sacrifice his son, he submitted. Every step he took was not for comfort, but conviction. And Allah responded with mercy. *So as we gather with loved ones, share meals and offer our sacrifices, let us also make this du’aa:* رَبِّ ٱجْعَلْنِى مُقِيمَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَآءِ رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلْحِسَابُ Rabbi aj‘alnī muqīma aṣ-ṣalāti wa min dhurriyyatī, rabbanā wa taqabbal du‘āa’. Rabbanā’ghfir lī wa li-wālidayya wa lil-mu’minīn yawma yaqūmu al-ḥisāb. _May your Eid be filled with meaning, mercy and moments of sincere surrender._ 🤲 Let this day bring you back to the essence of your faith. *Eid Mubarak* 🤍

*The Day of Arafah Is Near and It Could Change Everything* ⛰️ There is one day in the entire year that the Prophet ﷺ described like no other. “There is no day in which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah.” (Sahih Muslim) This is the day the Prophet ﷺ called the best day of the year. The day Allah perfected our deen. The day He draws closer to His servants than on any other day. Whether you are standing on the plains of Arafah or sitting quietly at home, this day is for you. It is a day for du’aa. For tears. For forgiveness. For hope. A day that could redefine your relationship with your Lord. *Even If You’re Not at Hajj, This Day Is Still for You* You may not be physically at Arafah, but you are not left out. - You get to *fast* and have the past year and the coming year’s sins forgiven. - You get to *pray* and pour your heart out to the One who listens. - You get to *connect,* with the purpose you were made for. This day is not just symbolic, it is a divine gift, a sacred invitation. *Start Preparing Now* The best moments in life do not come by accident. They come because we prepared. So begin now: - *Clear your schedule.* Give this day the space it deserves. - *Make your du‘aa list.* Include what matters most. Be honest. - *Sleep early.* Wake up with intention. - *Set your niyyah.* To fast. To seek. To be transformed. - *Show up.* Emotionally, spiritually, wholeheartedly. Do not walk into Arafah casually. Walk in ready. *Your Du‘aa List is Your Anchor* This day is not the time for rehearsed words or shallow requests. Be real. Be bold. Be vulnerable. Ask for healing. Ask for clarity. Ask for the next chapter of your life. Ask like someone who believes they are being heard, because you are. *A Du'aa That Holds the Weight of the Day* The Prophet ﷺ taught us the best du‘aa to say on this day: *“Lā ilāha illa Allāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadīr.”* Repeat it. Reflect on it. Let its meaning settle in your heart. There is no one worthy of worship but Him and He is able to do all things. *Disconnect to Reconnect* Put the phone down. Step away from the noise. Let the world wait. This day is not about productivity, it is about presence. It is not about what you can achieve, it is about who you can become. It is about returning to the One who has always been near. *Let This Be Your Turning Point* Do not let this day pass like any other. Let it mark the start of your return. Be intentional. Be present. Be remembered by Him. And if you need somewhere to start, begin with this: رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ “Our Master, grant us the best in this life, the best in the next and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” May every moment of your Arafah be recorded with mercy. *May Allah accept from all of us.*🤲

*It’s not just what you do, it’s why you do it.* A simple act, if done with sincere intention (niyyah), can become worship. But even grand deeds, if done to impress others, hold no weight with Allah. *Your niyyah* turns the ordinary into the extraordinary. *So purify it often. Align it always.* _*Transliteration: Innamal-a‘mālu bin-niyyāt, wa innamā likulli imri’in mā nawā*_ _(Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 1)_

*“What do you do when your silence empowers lies?”* The Prophet ﷺ wasn’t just facing enemies on a battlefield anymore. He was navigating gossip, whispers, doubts. Even from within his community. And that’s where Surah Al-Ahzab begins. The verse says: “Prophet, have taqwa of Allah. Do not yield to the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.” This isn’t a correction. It’s divine fortification. Taqwa isn’t just religious fear. It’s a moral anchor when truth gets blurred by public pressure. *The Prophet ﷺ was being told:* - Don’t lose clarity. - Don’t follow the noise. - Don’t bend to opinions that seem diplomatic but dismantle principles. And Allah closes the verse not with a command, but with comfort: “Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.” Because when the noise is too loud, divine wisdom is your clarity. *In this episode, we explore:* - What taqwa really means in leadership. - How revelation speaks directly into emotional fatigue. - The difference between obeying influence and following guidance. - Why Allah’s names silence every whisper and rumor. For Halal Provision:* اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ Ya Allah, suffice me with what is halal so I stay away from haram and enrich me by Your bounty, not needing anyone else. Allāhumma ikfinī bi-ḥalālika ‘an ḥarāmik, wa aghninī bifaḍlika ‘amman siwāk. *5. For Sincerity in Worship:* اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ، وَشُكْرِكَ، وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ Ya Allah, help me remember You, thank You and worship You beautifully. Allāhumma a‘innī ‘alā dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa ḥusni ‘ibādatik. *6. For Hajj Next Year:* اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ العَتِيقِ فِي العَامِ القَادِمِ Ya Allah, make us among those who perform Hajj to Your sacred House next year. Allāhumma aj‘alnā min ḥujjāji baytika al-‘atīq fī al-‘ām al-qādim. *7. Allāhumma innī a‘ūdhu bika mina al-fitan, mā ẓahara minhā wa mā baṭan. *8. Ya Allah, rectify the condition of the Ummah of Islam, unite their hearts upon truth, grant them victory and honor, lift from them hardship and harm, heal their sick, have mercy on their deceased and illuminate their hearts with the Quran. Allāhumma aṣliḥ aḥwāla ummati al-islām, wajma‘ kalimatahum ‘ala al-ḥaqq, warzuq'hum an-naṣr wa al-‘izzah, warfa‘ ‘anhumul-balā’ wa aḍ-ḍurr, washfi marḍāhum, warḥam mawtāhum, wanawwir qulūbahum bil-Qurān. *9. There is no god but Allah, alone without partner. To Him belongs all dominion and all praise and He is over all things capable. Lā ilāha illa Allāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr. 🤲 *Let Your Heart Speak* These du'aa are not just words, they are windows.
