We at The Ascent Group are hiring at different levels - AVP/Account Manager/Senior Associate/Associate - Shareholder Services Location - Hyderabad/Bangalore Shift Time - 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. FUNCTIONS . Experience in handling US Funds . Adhere to the relevant AML/KYC standards applied by Ascent on behalf of their clients while all regulatory, compliance, risk management and due diligence controls of Ascent are respected. . Assist relationship manager with investor's onboarding process by performing KYC and AML checks. . After reception of investor AML/KYC documentation and ensure that documentation is verified in a timely manner, follow up with supervisor on missing or original investor documentation. . Daily screening of investor transaction and AML hits on investor. . Periodic check of investor risk assessment and documentations. . Preparing case report for PEP/ high risk individual and submit to compliance or equivalent. . Monitoring and checking investor's document are in order via Ascent KYC platform. · Diligently verify account openings and / or account maintenance changes in line with the applicable procedures and in a timely manner · Screening and verification of investor names against sanction / black lists. · Assist in Internal / external KPI reporting. . Transaction monitoring and reporting. . Assist internal / external audit as required. . Perform function in line with the department procedure and Ascent policies in respect of the regulatory framework, the internal procedures, guidelines, and code of conduct. REQUIREMENTS . Apprenticeship in the financial industry or a university degree (BA, MBA or equivalent) . 2-10 years of relevant experience depending on the role in the Investor Services/ Shareholder Services/Transfer Agency/ Compliance business and Fund accounting industry. . Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, power point). . Committed to self-improvement. . Previous experience and knowledge of fund accounting, private equity administration or investment banking will be an asset. . Ability to work autonomously and remain calm under high pressure. . Detailed oriented and ability to deliver within agreed deadlines. . Sound understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and rules. . Excellent written and spoken of English required, any other language is an advantage. Experience in handling US Funds . Handling Hedge fund & private equity investor services operations, showing ownership for a group of client assigned, taking initiative to own operations for assigned clients . Responsible for processing and review of Capital activities (subscription, redemption, transfer, switches,) and non-financial activities (new investor creation, static data maintenance, statement & contract note distribution, audit confirm, responding to investor / client queries & multiple time bound projects). . Able to follow and strictly adhere to pre-established policies and procedures.. . Review and approve day-to-day dealing tasks and co-ordinate with host location independently to resolve any types of issues. . Account opening and new client On-boarding. Identify discrepancies affecting accounts, make necessary corrections where possible, or route information to the originating area and follow through until corrections are made. . Work allocations and service delivery of the end-to-end function. . Work with pre-determined deadlines and prioritizing workloads whilst working under pressure. Skills: . Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Knowledge of Excel is a plus. . Good English, written and oral communication skills. . Strong problem solving skills, detail and result oriented Academy & Experience: . 2-7 years of relevant experience depending on the role in financial services in a Transfer Agency or Investor Services domain. . Knowledge of Hedge fund Transfer Agency is required. . Prior experience of handling direct investor / client communication will be preferred. .
