About JONAS ELECTRICAL MASTERY
Unlock the world of electrical engineering with Jonas Electrical Mastery, where we explore concepts, share insights, and enhance our skills every day. In the face of high voltage, no material is HIGHLY insulated ๐ Quotes from some electrical sages: 1. "Electricity is really just organized lightning." โ George Carlin 2. "Scientists study the world as it is; engineers create the world that has never been." โ Theodore von Karman 3. "The only way to do great work is to love what you do." โ Steve Jobs (applicable to all fields, including electrical engineering) 4. "An engineer is someone who is good at solving problems you didnโt know you had." โ Unknown 5. "In engineering, there is a saying: 'If it works, itโs obsolete.'" โ Unknown 6. "The best way to predict the future is to invent it." โ Alan Kay WHAT TO EXPECT IN POSTERITY; 1. JonasTECHtv 2. Nationwide Electrical Hub

*1. Practice Carpooling* Having many people use one vehicle, significantly reduces travel costs such as fuel. *2. Peak Hours* Avoid driving in peak hours to save you from waiting in traffic and also save fuel. *3. Engine Speed* Maintain proper engine speed: Proper engine tuning can lead to fuel savings of up to 30%. *4. Vehicle A/C* Use AC sparingly, the air conditioner puts extra load on the engine, forcing more fuel to be used. 5. Avoid overspeeding as it consumes more fuel. 6. Avoid overloading to eliminate unnecessary weight. The heavier your vehicle is, the more fuel it consumes. 7. *Avoid excessive idling:* If you stop the vehicle turn off the engine. An idling engine uses fuel whilst no distance is being covered. 8. *Use overdrive gears:* Driving in the highest gear possible without forcing the the enigne is a fuel-efficient way of driving.

According to *Indian Electricity Rule 32, Clause 2*, no cut-out, link or switch other than a link switch arranged to operate simultaneously on the earthed or earthed neutral conductors and live conductors shall be inserted or remain inserted in any earthed or earthed neutral conductor of a two-wire system or in any earthed or earthed neutral conductor of a multi-wire system or in any conductor connected there to with the following exceptions: (1) *A link for testing purpose, or* (2) *A switch for use in controlling a generator or transformer.* *In a more detailed explanation*, The Indian Electricity Rule 32, Clause 2 says that, you should not put any switches, fuse cut-outs, or links in the neutral wire of your home's electrical system. *There are two situations where you are allowed to put a switch or link in the neutral wire:* 1. *Testing*: Electricians need to test electrical systems to make sure they are working safely. They may put a temporary link in the neutral wire to do this testing. 2. *Controlling Generators or Transformers*: Big machines like generators or transformers need special switches to control them. These switches can be put in the neutral wire, but only for these specific machines. *LET'S PROVE THIS THEORY* Let a fuse be inserted in the neutral of the supply as shown in in the left picture, and let the metallic body of the electric appliance be earthed to avoid electric shock. Let the insulation of the appliance deteriorate to causing leakage current and will make the fuse in the neutral to melt first. But as soon as someone touches the electric appliance in order to know what has happened, he will complete the circuit through his body to earth and source and thus will get a severe shock since it is still not disconnected from the live mains. *Hence for safety reasons, a fuse should never be used in neutral.* ```Fuse in neutral circuit (person will get shock when switch is closed wheather the fuse is healthy or blown).``` ```React, Share and turn the ๐ icon to receive our latest update.```

The synchronous type motor has some *characteristics that no other type motor has*. Some of these characteristic are: 1. The synchronous motor will run at the same speed whether it has no load or is fully loaded. 2. The synchronous motor is not an induction type motor. It does not need the induced voltage from the stator to cause a magnetic field in the rotor. 3. Not only does the synchronous motor correct its own power factor, but it can also correct the power factor to all the other motors that are connected to the same power line.

1. *What is an additional benefit of using synchronous motors in a power system?*

*Which of the following is a characteristic that distinguishes synchronous motors from other types of motors?*
