*India’s own Big 4…* The prime minister's office (PMO) has today called a meeting to explore the possibility of home-grown consulting companies that can match up to the Big Four – Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG — to reduce reliance on foreign advisory firms and build global capabilities in the professional services space. The high-level meeting will be chaired by Shaktikanta Das, principal secretary to the Prime Minister. Sanjeev Sanyal, a member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM), will make a presentation to assess the feasibility and crafting a strategic roadmap for creating Indian consulting majors with global credibility.

*Government Plans to Ban Fake Loan Apps and Unapproved Lending* The Indian government is planning to bring a new law that will ban any lending activity (like giving loans) that is not approved by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) or any other legal authority. *💡 Why this law is needed?* • Many fake loan apps are giving loans without any permission. • These apps often trouble people to repay the loans and use bad methods to recover money. • To protect people from fraud and harassment, the government wants to stop these illegal lending activities. *📅 When will the law come?* • The bill may be presented in the Parliament’s Monsoon Session (July 21 to August 12, 2025). *📌 Important Points:* • Personal loans from family members will not be banned. • The government wants to ensure only licensed companies (like banks, NBFCs) give loans. • Google has already removed 2,200+ fake loan apps from its Play Store between Sept 2022 to Aug 2023. • Some states may change their laws to support this new rule. 🧾 Other Related News: • Another bill (Insurance Amendment Bill) is also being planned to allow 100% foreign investment in insurance, up from the current 74%.

*India to Build Rafale Jet Parts – Tata & Dassault Join Hands* • Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) will start making important parts (called fuselages) of the Rafale fighter jets in Hyderabad. • This is the first time outside France that these parts will be made. • The fuselages will be made for both India and global orders. • The factory will deliver the first fuselages by FY28 (Financial Year 2028). • Tata plans to make 24 fuselages every year. • 100 fuselages will be made at first, and more than 200 may be made if India places extra orders. • 60% of Rafale’s production may eventually shift to India.
