Happy National Youth Day! Today, we honor the young trailblazers who are fearlessly pursuing their passions, breaking new ground, and leading the way. We salute the resilient youth who, despite facing challenges, remain committed to driving positive change. We celebrate the confident and authentic individuals who unapologetically express themselves. At Tales of Dzimbahwe, we're dedicated to empowering these young voices through the power of storytelling. We believe in sharing the inspiring, untold stories of Zimbabwe, highlighting the country's rich heritage and potential. By doing so, we aim to inspire the youth to recognize that greatness is within their reach, and that their dreams can become a reality.

Today, we celebrate International Mother Language Day, a day that holds great significance for Tales of Dzimbahwe Publishing House. As a publishing house, we recognize the importance of culture in shaping our identity, and language plays a vital role in preserving and promoting our cultural heritage. Our children's book series, "The Adventures Of Nyenyedzi," is a testament to this commitment. We've translated the series into 16 languages, with 11 of them being indigenous to Zimbabwe and the SADC region. This effort is driven by our founder and author, Chengeto Mayowe, who is passionate about cultural representation and preservation. Language is the thread that weaves together our history, culture, and identity. It's essential for children and adults alike to see themselves represented in books and media, not just physically but also linguistically. This representation fosters a sense of belonging, pride, and connection to one's heritage. Think about it, if your language ceased to exist today and was not documented, would history or anything be depicted accurately, if at all? Or would it all become a distant memory? #internationalmotherlanguageday
