Comrade Ali Abdullah Khan @aliabdullahk_ addressed the protesters, declaring: "We, the left-wing political activists, students, and people resisting in these dark times, are the true inheritors of Faiz Ahmad Faiz's legacy. No one can exclude us from the festival celebrating his name." The fact that comrades from the Revolutionary Communist Party were stopped and threatened for singing Faiz's poems at the Faiz festival exposes the festival administration's blatant hypocrisy.
