Mission Statement To coordinate and facilitate pre and post disaster management activities at the community and National levels, in order to minimise vulnerability and mitigate against the impact of disasters on life, property and the well being of residents of St. Kitts and Nevis. Vision An agency which functions efficiently in mobilizing all communities, government and non-government entities, to be proactive in reducing vulnerability to various hazards and provides an effective, coordinated, national post-impact response.

*Remember* During periods of heavy rain or persistent rainfall, drivers, passengers and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution while travelling in areas prone to rock fall, land slippage and flash floods. ⚠️ These create hazardous conditions which could cause serious injury. If travelling to these areas cannot be avoided, then persons should: ‼️ 👉 Reduce speed and drive carefully 👉🏿 When encountering flooded roads, be extremely cautious 👉 Stay alert for falling rocks and land slippage 👉🏿 Avoid stopping in areas prone to rock falls 👉 Report any hazardous conditions to the authorities.
