Yesterday, our NEMA District Managers and Deputy Managers participated in a vital Stop the Bleed Training session right here at Headquarters! 🩸 We were incredibly grateful to host a visiting group of faculty members and students from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, who are here on a study abroad program and led this important session. The "Stop the Bleed" training empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills to control severe bleeding in an emergency situation before professional medical help arrives. This includes learning how to apply direct pressure, pack a wound, and use a tourniquet. Why is this so important? By knowing how to "Stop the Bleed," our teams are better equipped to potentially save lives in critical moments, whether during a natural disaster response or any other emergency. We're proud of their commitment to preparedness and grateful for this valuable training! #stopthebleed #nema #emergencypreparedness #communitysafety #uncg #studyabroad
