Mr & Mrs Zimbabwe School of mines crowned. In a celebration of beauty, fashion, and talent, Mr and Mrs Zimbabwe School of Mines brought together the best of the best in the modeling fraternity an event which was supposed to be graced by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Honourable Raj Modi (MP) Bulawayo South. Cde Chris Sibanda attended on behalf of Bulawayo South Member of Parliament Hon Raj Modi, who was unable to attend. He attended as the MP representative at the Mr. and Mrs. Zimbabwe School of Mines 2025 Pegeant, also in-attendence was Bulawayo Province Chairman Boys dzamdara Cde Khaya and his executive and Bulawayo Province CZLWVA Vice Chairman Cde Sam Mupedziswa. Zimbabwean Members of Parliament today kicked off debates on the Broadcasting Services Amendment Bill, which proposes a contentious new rule motorists must purchase a radio license before they can obtain a vehicle license. This means that drivers will need to pay for a radio license from the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) before they can pay their road tax and insure their vehicles. Parliament office bearers urged to exhibit efficiency and professionalism THE National Assembly has embarked on a strategic plan targeted at enhancing professionalism, accountability and efficiency in the execution of duties. With Parliament having critical duties of making laws, representing citizens, and playing an oversight role in government, the August House seeks to remain the citadel of good governance and professionalism in executing its duties. During the Parliament Annual Corporate Governance meeting held in Mutare this Friday, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, implored parliament office bearers to ensure their annual plan speaks to the concept of accountability and value for money when they execute their work. He said, “You are the centre and fulcrum of fulfilling that constitutional mandate of accountability of our statecraft. The quality of that accountability does not rest with politicians, it rests with the staff because you have expertise. The corporate plan must look at quality and performance. It’s not a question of achieving your strategic goal, but the corporate plan must be mindful of quality assurance in the implementation matrix. “The institutional strategic plan should be on your fingertips. That must be buttressed by the NDS 1 and most importantly, guided by the constitution. Corporate plans should look at monitoring how these resources are being utilisation starting with parliament itself.
