Bulawayo MP Addresses Water Shortage Crisis in Parliament

Bulawayo’s Member of Parliament for Cowdrypark constituency, Hon. Mujeyi, recently took to the floor of Parliament to address the pressing issue of water shortages plaguing the city. During his speech, he acknowledged the significant infrastructure developments led by His Excellency, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, particularly the upgrades to the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls road and various local road projects within his constituency.
Hon. Mujeyi emphasized that despite these developments, the water crisis remains a critical challenge for residents in Bulawayo. He expressed concern about the inadequate water supply and its impact on the daily lives of constituents, highlighting the urgent need for government intervention to resolve this issue. As a member of the Committee for Local Government, Public Works and Housing, he has been actively engaging with community members to gauge their concerns and experiences related to water scarcity during his visits.
In his passionate appeal, the MP urged fellow members of Parliament to recognize the gravity of the situation and called for concerted efforts aimed at finding sustainable solutions. "We are pleading to the government for assistance," he stated, reinforcing the idea that the community's well-being depends on prompt and effective action from authorities.
Hon. Mujeyi concluded with optimism, pointing out that President Mnangagwa has a reputation for being a responsive leader. He expressed confidence that with the President's attention and support, tangible solutions to the water crisis can be achieved, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for all Bulawayo residents.
