Unfortunately, it was the route that Israel must pass. They had an army. They had weapons. They had numbers. Yet, God decided to engage their singers. The music instrumentalists were called to lead the battle that brought the walls down. The Levites, the trumpeter players, and the entire Israel made a tour round the great wall. On the seventh day. They were instructed by the Lord to make a big shout. And the walls fell. Is there anything like a walk around you today? Can you make a Scripture proclamation over it? Can you sing about it? Can you get your tambourine and play to it? Can you invite your friends to join you to sing? Don't bother to interrogate why a simple shout did the miracle. SHORT AND SHARP WITH DR SOLA ALIMI June 14, 2025. 11:00pm. DARE TO BE GOD'S BLAZING TORCH IN A DARK WORLD. Light is the only agency that is hated by darkness because it doesn't support it to thrive. The value of darkness is limited by the power of light. The blazing torch of God's light neutralises the weight of darkness, however formidable it may be. Every generation has had to contend with some measure of inner and outer darkness in order to enforce light and elevate godly values. This present generation is confronted with a network of people who are frontally opposed to the truth, resistant to godly values, and are deliberately committed to negative stereotypes in recent times. This, however, requires the carriers of true light to go all out to nooks and corners of the earth and shine the light of the gospel to check the excesses of darkness and mitigate the invasion of the pit of hell before things get out of hand. He opened his mouth to the Lord and never reneged on his oath. I cannot do this wickedness and sin against God. He wasn't opportunistic. He wasn't flippant. He was determined to please God rather than break the rules of God. Unlike today, when believers are dangerously toxic, the Christian of yesterday was driven by virtue and godliness. Joseph had no teacher nor pastor, he had no counsellor, yet his life was a testimony of grace and godliness. Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house forever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:34-36). The commitment of Joseph to God was pure and steadfast.
