𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗦 𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗬 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞 🇩🇰 For those travelling to Copenhagen, here's some information which we hope you'll find helpful. Please share this and invite others to follow this WhatsApp channel. Our Fans Embassy is a voluntary service 'For Fans, By Fans', delivered in partnership with the Irish FA and PSNI and we'll be offering our usual help for the travelling #GAWA 𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 🛬 We recommend using the Copenhagen metro system. Trains run very regularly, and there are decent ticket options that offer a bit of value. On arrival in the airport, known as 'Lufthavn, Kastrup', follow the signs for the Metro. 🚉 You can purchase tickets from one of the many vending machines near the exits. You can buy single trip tickets, but there are 24, 48 or 72 hour tickets which provide better value. These are known as a 'City Pass Small'. They cost 100, 160 or 220 Krone (approx £11, £1, £25) depending on which duration you choose. It covers the Metro, bus and train. You can also download the ‘DOT Tickets’ app, which allows you to buy tickets via your phone. After downloading the app, you'll need to enter your name, phone number and email address and there are a couple of quick verification stages. Check where your hotel is located, but 'City Pass Small' covers Zones 1-4, which should suit most. Tickets can be paid by cash or card at vending machines and are also available at 7 Eleven stores. You don't need to validate tickets, but there are ticket inspectors and pretty hefty fines. https://m.dk/en/ 𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 🍔🍟🍻 There are several pubs near Radhuspladsen, which is the main square. This is within a short enough walking distance from the main station and Tivoli Gardens. Pubs include the Old Irish Pub, The Proud Mary, the Scottish Pub and the Storm Inn, which is a real ale pub. Usual prices for beers are around £8-£10 for a large beer, some of the bars will have special offers on, so have a look around. In a 7 Eleven, a bottle or can is around £3. The 'Netto' supermarket chain also sells alcohol at lower prices. The usual 'fast food' outlets are nearby, and a meal in Burger King costs £8-£11 for example. If you want something less, a baguette from 7 Eleven is around £5 and a large hot dog £7. Buying two of any item usually averages out cheaper. Eating in the restaurants costs more obviously, but on our Site Visit in 2023, we had lunch for around £12 and a really good evening meal for just under £30. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗢 🎡 🚍 Copenhagen is a beautiful city, but the weather doesn't look very promising! There are lots of tourist attractions, Tivoli Gardens being the main one. You also have the usual 'hop on, hop off' bus tour and up to eight people can even hire a boat! If you're thinking of doing any of the above, there's a 'Copenhagen Card' which offers discounts to more than 80 museums and attractions and unlimited travel in zones 1-99. Prices start at around £57, and there are two card options (Discover and Hop). Do your sums before deciding if this works for you. It's available to download as an app. Check out visitcopenhagen.com https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw4ZWkBhA4EiwAVJXwqb1KE-Vue9Rl4hv8F5fZ1WinofxJhh3Dkan-NBvjrHlyScuOIxBSuhoCSckQAvD_BwE 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬 ⚽️ On matchday, the Danish police are happy for fans to gather at Radhuspladsen, which is the same square as our last time there, but rain is expected. Drinking on the street is permitted. There's a ‘Fanzone’ operating in the park opposite the stadium with food, drink and music. We think it's worth a look. We'll be sharing more information on matchday transport nearer to the time. If you are going up earlier for the fanzone, there's a metro station on the main square. Take the Red metro line (M3) from Radhuspladsen or Kobenhavn H to the stadium to Vibenshus Runddel. This stop will facilitate entry to the main Northern Ireland sector (D). Metro tickets must be purchased before using the transport. 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗨𝗠 🏟 There are two entrances for the main away sector (D). Tickets will be scanned. A digital or printed copy will be accepted and ID is NOT required. Make sure your phone has plenty of battery, brightness is turned up and that the screen isn't damaged! Another thing worth mentioning. Don't wait until a few minutes before kick off to try and get in. You'll need to allow time for security searches and ticket checks and, who knows, but there may even be lots of other people trying to get in too! 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥 There are two sets of 14 steps if you’re in the upper level and lifts are also available. There's no bag storage area. Kiosks and toilets are available on both levels. Alcohol is on sale, payment can be via cash or card - but card is preferred. Flags and banners can be hung inside our sector from the time gates open for the match. Please follow all instructions from the stewards! 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗖𝗛 You can follow our Northern Ireland Fans Embassy WhatsApp channel here 👇🏻 https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VagaPRDFcowDOZEczk0X Our mobile contact number is also available for assistance with emergencies, such as lost Passport information. The Irish Football Association will honour Northern Ireland 'centurions' Steven Davis and Jonny Evans before kick-off at the Iceland game next Tuesday night. Both players will be presented with specially commissioned artworks celebrating their careers. To tie in with this and to carry on our Windsor Roar fan initiative, we're encouraging fans to turn out in their 'retro' Northern Ireland shirts at the Iceland game. Something from Steven and Jonny's era, or something even more vintage! Get involved. Spread the word. More on the presentations to Steven and Jonny here 👇🏻 https://www.irishfa.com/news/2025/june/northern-ireland-icons-to-receive-special-artwork

We were in Stockholm this midweek for our Northern Ireland Fans Embassy Site Visit ahead of the Sweden game next month. The Strawberry Arena is a really good stadium, and our Swedish hosts were very helpful. We have a good relationship with their Fans Embassy through our membership of Football Supporters Europe. Remember to invite your friends to follow this channel for relevant match information!
Lead Bookers should have received their email from the Irish FA about how having one World Cup qualifier less will work with the Campaign Card. ▶️ You have the option of accepting the Iceland game in place of the qualifier. If you do this, the difference in price between the friendly and a qualifier will be credited to your ticket account. If you're happy to accept the change, then you don't need to do anything. ▶️ If you don't want to accept the Iceland friendly instead of the qualifier, then the value of the qualifier will be credited to your ticket account for future ticket purchases. ▶️ There will also be a refund option. Details on this are in the email. ▶️ Lead Bookers have until 18th February to opt out, and this is done through your Ticket Manager account. From the IFA email... If you wish to opt out and return your seat(s) for Northern Ireland v Iceland, please follow the instructions below: Log in to your Account Manager Select 'My Events' Select Northern Ireland v Iceland by clicking on ‘View Event Details’ Select ‘Return’ Select the seats you wish to return Select ‘I Don't Wish To Attend’ Select ‘Submit’
A second home friendly has been announced, with Iceland 🇮🇸 the opposition on Tuesday 10th June. We expect the Iceland game will be part of a double header as there are two dates to fill during the June international window, but nothing's been confirmed about this as yet. The Irish FA will be contacting Lead Bookers regarding ticket information for the friendlies against Switzerland and Iceland. We would advise everyone to wait until this information is made available. More information here 👇🏻 https://www.irishfa.com/news/2025/february/northern-ireland-to-face-switzerland-and-iceland
